I said it&#039;s like a thick flat noodle and he thinks it&#039;s like a biscuit. Ha Ha I win and its in writing. He tried to say his was the &quot;country&quot; way. I laughed. You cant get more &quot;country&quot; than Vidalia and Swainsboro Ga. That is how my Granny and Grandma made them. He is from Michigan need I say more. Thank you for putting this one in writing.</description>

		<description>It&#039;s me again... carefully and now thoughtfully reading through your blog.  When I came upon this entry, I had to stop and read it slowly.  Wow, we are sisters from the south (GRITS - girls raised in the south).  My sweet, sweet grandmumma Lissy made what we called &quot;chicken pastry&quot; and although none of us ever got the recipe verbatim, this is essentially it, as I too remember standing next to her on a stool watching her put these together and rolling out these dumplings.  Most people think of chicken and dumplings with dropped dumplings, ours were rolled, as are yours.  We never used cream in ours, but your version looks so wonderful.  Brings back wonderfully sweet memories of us all around a big table, sweet tea, fresh vegetables and my grandfather Percy beaming at the head of the table.  I got a little misty as I read this.  Thanks for the memories and especially for the recipe.</description>
