Do you remember Mother’s Circus Animal Cookies, those completely amazing pink and white frosted cookies of your youth. (Wait, how old are you?)
I LOVED those preservative-laden treats, so much so that I cried when they went out of business, cheered with glee when they returned, and pouted when they didn’t sell them in Georgia. I took matters in my own hands and decided to make my own. Even better, I dressed them up in holiday clothes—now they’re almost too cute to eat! (Almost.)

Beautiful little cookies! They look yummie! Can I have some?
Thank you thank you thank you! I love these as a kid — they handed them out each week in the church nursery, which is how far back I’ve adored them. Can’t wait to make your version and share them with my kids– they HAVE to be better for us than Mother’s!
Allison—I don’t know if they are better than ‘Mother’s’ but they are pretty darn good
OMG, I love circus cookies. I have sworn off cookies for the rest of the reason, but these might be to much to resist. They are so cute!
