Check out my cooking video debut. I’m making Dixie Caviar!
Happy New Year! I hope y’all had a fabulous holiday season filled with laughter & light.
I took a much-needed break this December to really focus on what matters most in my life—family, friends, and (you guessed it!) food. And while I was definitely cooking up a storm, wrapping lots of gifts, and sipping on plenty of champagne, I decided to keep it to myself. Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up with “social media” and “online presence” that we forget to be present in real life. And real life is what it’s all about!
Now I’m back and feeling better than ever. I’ve been busy hashing out some new column ideas and recipes that I look forward to sharing with you soon. In the meantime, here’s a link to my video debut, shot and edited by my talented fiancé in Dixie Caviar’s very own kitchen. I was a little camera-shy at first, but I think with a little practice I may just be able to get the hang of it. (Thank goodness you can’t see the hidden glass of wine!)
I’d love to know your thoughts, so give me a shout in the comments section.

Great video! Love it!
You did a great job…Looks like you’ve hosted a cooking show for years! The definition pop-ups were extra cute and the music was just the right touch
Thought it was a great video. Glad to know what Dixie Caviar is! Loved your parents Christmas pics of yall.
I made this from your recipe on New Year’s Eve and thought that I was starting off 2013 in the best way possible (plus I got my black-eyed peas on the 1st because it’s even better the second day!)!
Thanks!
Great job with your first video — it’s just right!
